Samarth Kakkar is a doctoral researcher working in the field of hydrogen aviation under the h2avia project. He is jointly employed at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics (ISM) and the Institue of Aircraft Design and Lightweight Structures (IFL), where he focuses on multi-disciplinary aero-structural design and optimization of wings for hydrogen-powered aircraft. Prior to this, he obtained his master’s degree in mechanical engineering at TU Delft, the Netherlands, where he specialized in the field of physics informed machine learning and generative AI for fluid flow applications.
