Riccardo Gaudioso is a doctoral researcher specializing in CFD, aerodynamics and heat transfer over ice roughness. He completed his Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering in Politecnico di Milano in 2023, with a thesis work treating the aeroacoustic signature of a wind turbine rotor in icing conditions. He is currently involved in TRACES, a European Joint Doctorate network whose main goal is to provide high-level training in the field of in-flight icing. His project is focusing on high-fidelity simulations (LES/DNS) of turbulent flows over ice roughness, targeting heat transfer enhancement effects.
