Lajos Fohlmeister completed his studies at the Technical University of Braunschweig and, prior to his work at ISM, worked at the DLR in the field of cryogenic fatigue testing of fiber composite materials. In his current project, he is focusing on active laminar flow control with suction to reduce the skin friction drag of modern aircraft wings. For this purpose, he is currently preparing a wind tunnel model for the DNW-NWB to fundamentally investigate the occurring transition mechanisms.
