Thore Siercks is a PhD student in the field of aircraft aerodynamics. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from TU Braunschweig. For his Master's thesis he investigated the transition behaviour of boundary layers on swept wings at TU Delft. As part of the SynTrac Collaborative Research Centre, he has been working at ISM since 2025 on the potential of energy recovery in the wake of an airfoil. This will involve numerical simulations and wind tunnel experiments.
