Manuel Zeitler is a Ph.D. student in the fields of CFD, aerodynamics and boundary layer ingestion. He did both his Bachelors and Masters at the University of Stuttgart in mechanical engineering before joining the ISM in November 2023. Currently, he is working in the SynTrac subproject C03. Striving for cleaner aviation, the project investigates the synergies and effects of integrated jet engines in the rear of a fuselage. Manuel focuses on inlet design and boundary layer ingestion aspects of such a configuration, as well as the implementation of passive and active flow control.
