Service Offers for Scientists

The Career Service offers career counseling for young scientists with an explicit focus on potentials in the economy. Strategic cooperations with partners from industry are constantly being developed and intensified in order to provide interested young scientists with an insight into a career as well as contacts in industry.

• Individual counseling (e.g. feedback on application documents, simulation of job interviews, development of a personal skills profile or a career entry strategy, information on networking and sources of information; by appointment).

The Research Services offers research funding advice on national, european and international funding programs. From application assistance and support with contractual issues to finding cooperation and contact partners.

Research Services

The GradTUBS Graduate Academy supports young scientists in their career decision-making or goal-setting and offers, among other things, seminars on leadership skills as well as networking evenings that serve to build up the doctoral students' networks. For this purpose, experts are invited to promote exchange and to support the doctoral candidates in establishing contacts in research networks and industry.

Offers of the Graduate Academy for doctoral students:

• Workshops on key qualifications
• Networking events with industry and non-university science organizations
• Individual career coaching
• If there are remaining places available, postdocs are also welcome to participate in the offer.

GradTUBS Graduate Academy

The International Teaching Lab develops individual and needs-based measures for Internationalisation at Home and the Internationalisation of Curricula. We actively support individual teaching projects for the development and enhancement of digital and/or international teaching at the TU.

Our services include advising and supporting faculties in the introduction of English-taught courses, modules, and degree programmes, as well as in the planning and implementation of international teaching collaborations and digital international teaching.

International Teaching Lab

The Research Funding Network at TU Braunschweig aims to support scientists with their research proposals. The network includes scientists of TU Braunschweig with many years of experience - in committees and with applications. They support applicants of TU Braunschweig and those who want to come to TU Braunschweig with their research grants.

Familiy Office

The Communications and Press Service is the central point of contact for university communications. It mediates between journalists, scientists and employees. The office maintains contact with relevant media and its own channels, which are constantly being developed under its responsibility. Advice on corporate design and web presence are also among the core competencies of the staff unit.

• Advice on internal and external science and university communication and on dealing with the media.

Communications and Press Service

The University Library provides TU Braunschweig with literature, media and information. It promotes competence in the use, processing and presentation of information and provides the public with access to scientific information.

• Continuing education offers (courses/workshops): e.g. research strategy, literature management with Citavi, copyright, Open Access, bibliometrics, research data management.
• Publication consulting, e.g. on open access, the publication fund, bibliometrics, research data

The Technology Transfer Office supports interested young scientists as potential founders through coaching or in applying for start-up funding, which supports, for example, innovative, technology-oriented start-up projects or knowledge-based services. 

Offerings of the Technology Transfer Office:

• Start-up support: coaching, entrepreneurship qualification, space offers for start-up preparation.
• Inventions/patents: invention support, patent application and marketing of patents
• Arrangement of industrial cooperation for cooperation projects with companies and marketing of scientific results

The Welcome Support for International Researchers advises and accompanies international researchers in Braunschweig and also offers support for the hosting institution and supervisors:

• We advise you on all questions concerning your stay in Braunschweig.
• Together with the host institution, we support you in your arrival and first steps in Braunschweig.
• We offer practical assistance and support, for example in finding a place to live, in dealing with the authorities or in finding a suitable place in a kindergarten.

Welcome Support for International Researchers

The offer of the department of Professional and Personnel Development is directed at all employees of the Technische Universität Braunschweig and is intended to recognize, maintain, develop and promote the performance and learning potential of the employees.

Offer of the Professional and Personnel Development:

• Program of personnel development (e.g. courses on personality development, health management or administrative practice).
• Advice on and arrangement of external seminars and training events (e.g. HüW)
• Support on health issues, dealing with stress and designing health-promoting work conditions
