After completion of this module, students are able to describe the welding processes and the necessary equipment, as they are of great importance for mechanical and vehicle engineering, as well as steel and shipbuilding. They can name the processes and list their essential components. In addition, they acquire specialist knowledge about the application of the procedures in accordance with the requirements. By presenting the different applications in clear examples, students acquire methodical knowledge of these processes and are able to compare and select the processes on the basis of task-specific boundary conditions.
