Motivation:
- Modern industrial production requires its systems to increase productivity, efficiency as well as to autonomously adapt to changing tasks
and environments.
- The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies into the workflows of digital information systems, e.g. for production planning and control (PPS), enables this through cognitive automation of routine tasks and cognitive assistance in high workload situations.
- Especially generative AI provides promising capabilities as it supports agentic orchestration of multimodal workflows.
Content of the work:
- Investigation
of the mentioned technologies and approaches based on a demonstrator
setup in the IWF Learning Factory consisting of a PPS software prototype and an installation of the agent orchestration framework LangChain.
- Literature review, conceptualization,
implementation and testing of an agentic workflow integrated into the demonstrator environment.
The thesis can be written in German or English.
