Scaled tool development process
The project TooliNG aims to develop a continuous digital twin for the construction and design of pressing tools with the context of automobile serial production. On top of that, AI-assistents are implemented for different use cases to enable an increase in efficiency and shorten the tool development process

The IWF is researching on top of the defined use cases and AI-assistents how the generated data can be used to optimize and fasten the digital construction of a tool, especially in the forming process. Therefore, the examined data not only consists of the digital construction and simulation data but also of tool operation process data. This ensures to also capture the complex dependencies between the tool and the operational environment which can effect the forming process and lead to unwanted material and product losses.
