Carnivorous plants exert a great fascination on pupils.
How is it possible that plants eat animals? Why do they do this, where do these plants live and what role does their nutrient supply play?
These and other questions are on our minds when we visit the carnivore house and then examine individual plants in more detail. In station work, the pupils explore the exciting trapping mechanisms of the plants. They get the plants to "snap" at them and learn which animals are the preferred prey.
