Bionics is an interdisciplinary science that deals with the "inventions of nature" and their technical implementation. Under the motto "Stable leaves - or how does cardboard become strong?", "Where does Velcro come from?" or "Flying seeds - the dream of flying", the children learn about and understand some examples of bionic inventions from the plant kingdom.
Competences:
observe and analyse examples from bionics, such as the principle of Velcro, the lotus effect, lightweight construction and the principle of flight, present them and justify the benefits for humans
use magnifying glasses and binoculars appropriately
draw simple biological structures
explain different forms of seed and fruit dispersal
carry out simple investigations and experiments according to instructions and draw conclusions from them.
