Supervised by Erwin Stein, "Verteilte Algorithmen für h-, p- und d-adaptive Berechnungen in der nichtlinearen Strukturmechanik", Hannover, June 2001
The overall goal of this work is to bring together a number of problem solutions in the areas of computer science, numerical methods, and mechanics to an h-, p-, and d-adaptive dynamically load balanced and completley parallelised Finite Element Program.
Supervised by Karsten Steffens, "Partitionen unendlicher Mengen", Hannover, May 1993.
The central focus of this work is a proof of the theorem: For any partition {p0, p1} of NxN there exists an infinite subset M of N such that either p0 or p1 contains MxM.
