Research Associate / Doctoral Candidate (m/f/d) in the field of
Coastal Engineering
(up to EG 13 TV-L, full-time)
The position is to be filled on a fixed-term basis for a period of 30 month. The successful applicant will be given the opportunity to pursue a doctorate and for further scientific qualification.
The Division of Hydromechanics, Coastal and Ocean Engineering operates unique experimental facilities and large-scale research equipment for research at the Coastal Research Centre in Braunschweig and Hanover. In the context of increasing demands for coastal protection due to climate change and the associated sea level rise, we are researching adaptation options for sandy coasts through sustainable, nature-based and nature-compatible measures. The aim of the trans- and interdisciplinary joint research project is to test and further develop reinforcement measures for beach and dune systems through experimental investigations. Therefore, the advertised position is integrated into the Coastal Structures working group.
