Abschlusssymposium

Scope

After two very successful funding phases starting 2011 and 2015, respectively, the Collaborative Research Centre 880 invites you to its final symposium taking place on the 17th and 18th of December 2019. The symposium aims to bring together experts in the fields of active flow control, aeroacoustics, and smart materials with a special focus on aircraft applications. The final symposium aims to share and to disseminate the project’s findings with the scientific community. The symposium’s written and oral contributions shall also serve to provide a comprehensive state-of-the-art review of the respective research fields.

Venue

The symposium will take place at the Automotive Research Centre Niedersachsen (NFF) of the Technische Universität Braunschweig located at Hermann-Blenk-Straße 42, 38108, Braunschweig.

Registration

Presenting guests are not required to register.

Non-presenting guests must register. To register, please write an e-mail with the subject "Registration SFB Symposium" to info-sfb880@tu-braunschweig.de with the following information:

An invoice will be issued after reception of your email. The registration deadline is October 31, 2019. The registration fee is 50 € per person.

For organisational reasons, we kindly ask our guests to register before 31st October.

Springer book

All presenting authors are requested to publish an article in a Springer’s “Notes on Numerical Fluid Mechanics and Multidisciplinary Design,” which will appear approximately two months after the symposium. The article submission deadline is 17th December 2019. Each guest author will receive a copy of the publication free of charge.

The written contributions will be internally reviewed among the collaborative research centre principle investigators. The review process is scheduled to be concluded by January 15, 2020. Revised manuscripts are expected before January 30, 2020.
