What we can offer

Our counselling service is a low-threshold and free offer to provide you students with a space where you can discuss your questions regarding the planning of studies, theses and projects in relation to methodological and statistical matters. As we cannot do all the work, of course, you will need to think about it yourself beforehand ;).

We offer counselling on the following issues:

  • Questions about experimental designs/study designs
  • Questions about statistical modelling/analysis

We do not offer help with:

  • Concrete software help (e.g. evaluation with SPSS)
  • Concrete interpretation of results

Contact

The best way to contact us is by email if you have a request for advice.

You can also contact us if we have raised your interest in joining us. Participation is recommended after attending the modules on scientific methodology (after the 2nd semester). Interested students are invited to participate and will be familiarised with the activities.

You can also give us feedback or suggestions.

Notes

Counselling sessions currently take place mainly online via video chat. You will receive a link to a meeting from us.

Consultations are held in German as standard, but can also be held in English on request.

Before the counselling session, we need the following documents from you in advance

  • The completed form "Anmeldung zu einer Beratung" / "Registration for Consulting" if you need help with an examination (e.g. final thesis, Exprak).
  • Some information about your request. You can use the "Fragebogen" / "Questionaire" form or simply write us the information in the email.

Please send us the forms together with your request for consultation by e-mail.
