Dear Colleagues, Dear Students, Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
in cooperation with the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker (GDCh), we kindly invite you to participate at the 10th Ferrocene Colloquium, which will take place between 15th to 17th February 2012 at TU Braunschweig.
In continuation of a series of ten successful meetings between 2003 and 2011, the 10th Ferrocene Colloquium will again provide an excellent platform for young scientist - PhD students, postdoctoral fellows and young faculty members - to present their latest research in ferrocene-related and organometallic chemistry. In addition, four plenary lectures will be delivered by renowned experts in the field: Prof. Christophe Biot (Lille, France), Prof. Richard D. Ernst (Utah, USA), Prof. Dr. Sjoerd Harder (Groningen, The Netherlands) and Prof. Dr. Uwe Rosenthal (Rostock). In addition, we will organize a poster session to present the latest research in the field throughout the conference. We are also happy to announce that the Major of Braunschweig will host a reception on Thursday at the Old City Hall in the Dornse, one of the most representative locations the city has to offer.
Participation in the conference will be free of charge. The registration and submission of abstracts are now possible. Please keep in mind the deadline of 10th December 2011 for registration, while the abstract submission will close on 15th January 2012.
In addition, we have made prereservations for a number of hotel rooms that will offer special conference discounts. These and other important details concerning travelling, agenda etc. will be made available on the homepage: http://www.tu-braunschweig.de/iaac/veranstaltungen/ferrocene.
We are looking forward to interesting lectures, fruitful discussions and entertaining coffee breaks as well as evening events at Braunschweig, the City of Science, in February 2012.
Sincerely yours,
Matthias Tamm, Ingo Ott and Marc D. Walter
