Simulation of Mechatronic Systems (German: Simulation mechatronischer Systeme)

Course content

Students can classify simulation techniques from numerical mathematics and can apply them to mechatronic case studies. They can simulate the behavior of such mechatronic systems, create animations and generate and analyze associated solutions. They are thus able to apply problem-adapted numerical methods to mechatronic systems and to create and evaluate digital model solutions.

Content

  • Elements of the simulation of dynamic systems
  • mathematical methods linear, nonlinear systems
  • numerical methods: eigenvalue calculation, numerical integration, sensitivity
  • software methods: OOP (C++), program structures for simulation
  • Windows with plot and other representations, animation
