Over the past few days, part of the central Alumni*ae team, Henning Karsten, Melanie Schaller and Maike Stelter, took part in the conference of alumni-clubs.net e.V. DACH-Verband der Alumni-Organisationen. The team learnt three things in particular:
Trust the community - the alumni*ae know what they want. This knowledge should be taken into account when planning programmes.
Alumni*ae support must start from day one - the university should be made a place that offers a special experience and thus promotes lasting loyalty.
Artificial intelligence is an amazing tool. It should not dominate us, but it must be learnt how to use it effectively and advantageously.
The Alumni*ae team would like to thank the organisers for the inspiring and insightful event and looks forward to intensifying the exchanges that arose during the event.
