Die Tagung der DVPW Sektion Politische Ökonomie wird dieses Jahr vom Institut für Vergleichende Regierungslehre und Politikfeldanalyse organisiert und findet aufgrund der Pandemie digital statt.
Thema der Tagung ist "The Political Economy of Environmental and Climate Policy – Pathways towards Ecologically, Socially, and Economically Sustainable Policymaking".
Colette Vogeler, die im Vorstand der Sektion Politische Ökonomie ist, organisiert die Tagung gemeinsam gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Laura Seelkopf von der Universität St. Gallen, Prof. Dr. Marius Busemeyer von der Universität Konstanz und Prof. Dr. Joscha Wullweber von der Universität Witten-Herdecke.
Abschluss der virtuellen DVPW Sektionstagung der Politische Ökonomie 2020/2021

Die virtuelle DVPW Sektionstagung der Politische Ökonomie 2020/2021 fand am 3. und 4. März statt. Colette Vogeler, die im Vorstand der Sektion Politische Ökonomie ist, organisierte die Tagung gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Laura Seelkopf von der Universität St. Gallen, Prof. Dr. Marius Busemeyer von der Universität Konstanz und Prof. Dr. Joscha Wullweber von der Universität Witten-Herdecke. Die Konferenz gliederte sich in sechs Panels mit jeweils vier Vorträgen, sodass 24 Vorträge gehalten wurden. Insgesamt waren 47 Referentinnen und Referenten an der Tagung beteiligt. Thematisch fokussierten die Panels unterschiedliche Teilbereiche der Umwelt- und Klimapolitikforschung und dem gesellschaftlichen und politischen Umgang mit diesen Herausforderungen aus politikwissenschaftlicher und polit-ökonomischer Perspektive (etwa Antibiotikaresistenzen, Agrarpolitik oder Energiepolitik). Die intensiven Diskussionen im Rahmen der sechs Panels zwischen Vortragenden und auch Gästen verdeutlichte die Aktualität und Relevanz der präsentierten Ideen und unterschiedlichen Perspektiven.

Update for the Conference

We are glad to announce that we have defined a new date for our conference “The Political Economy of Environmental and Climate Policy”.
The conference will take place on March 3rd and 4th in Braunschweig. Given the uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are also planning a digital event as a complement to the live event.
We very much hope that you will be able to join us in March, as already announced travel and accommodation funding for active participants will still be available next year.
Please let us know until August 15th if you will be able to participate.

Rescheduling
8. May 2020
Due to the remaining uncertainties regarding the Covid-19 developments, we have decided to postpone the conference “The Political Economy of Environmental and Climate Policy” to the beginning of next year. In our opinion, holding a conference with over 50 participants this autumn will be very difficult and we would really like to meet everyone in person instead of switching to a digital event. Travel and accommodation funding for active participants will still be available next year.
We regret the postponement very much and hope that all participants will be able to attend the alternative date in spring. The new date will be communicated by late summer/beginning of autumn.
