At this year's summer school of the 5th EUROMBR Training Course 2024 (September 9 to 13, 2024) Innovative microbioreactor (MBR) applications in bioprocess development at the University of Magna Graecia of Cantazaro in Calabria, Italy, a team from the ibvt again supported this course with a lecture, lab hands on and poster presentations. The students Elisa Lädke and Leon Huß presented their microbioreactor-related theses, Gábor Schultz and Jan-Angelus Meyer supervised the EUROMBR-participants in microbioreactor cultivations and Rainer Krull gave a lecture on whole cell cultivation in microbioreactors. The EuroMBR course was excellently organized by our Italian colleagues under the direction of Gerardo Perozziello. Technical expertise, intensive discussions at the posters and in laboratories with the student participants alternated and networking was not neglected either. The EUROMBR Training Course is of particular importance for the promotion of young researchers. The course combines theoretical knowledge with important practical experiences. Young scientists use the opportunity to get in touch with the leading experts in MBR development and to build up and broaden their own scientific networks efficiently.
The 6th International EUROMBR Training Course will be held in August 2025 at the Denmark Technical University, Lyngby, Denmark.
