This practical work is concerned with methods to reduce the number of degrees of freedom (dof) for very large and complex problems. These methods are called reduced order models (ROM). They transform the original high fidelity or high order model (HOM) into the ROM with typically a large reduction of dofs. The HOM will be existing FEM models of linear heat conduction and elasticity.
