We facilitate transfer and collaboration, providing platforms and structures to support cooperation and knowledge exchange within and outside of TU Braunschweig. Our offerings include Next Generation, Engagement & Common Good, Service Learning & Social Innovation, and Co-Creation.
We create temporary spaces for exchange on current societal issues through transdisciplinary formats aligned with the profiles of TU Braunschweig. We nurture networks and engage in cooperation development within our domain.
We support the UN's sustainability goals by providing knowledge for meaningful action.

17 Sustainable Development Goals: Our focus theme is aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.
Holistic development towards excellence: In doing so, we build on the initiative "University Development 2030" of TU Braunschweig.
We provide services for everyone at TU Braunschweig to enhance transfer and collaboration skills. We focus on "Future Skills" such as interdisciplinary thinking and action, starting even with school students. We support students and young researchers in sustainability projects and accompany innovative ideas from the establishment of an association or company to implementation. Co-creation formats help to consider transfer and collaboration in research and teaching from the outset.
The TU Braunschweig is particularly committed to fostering early career support. The AG Schule-Uni pursues under the umbrella brand Check-in - Discover Science! The initiatives aim to engage children and adolescents of all ages and school types, sparking their interest in science and research.
We offer opportunities for community-oriented engagement alongside studies and teaching – to make sustainable changes, shape things oneself, or simply be part of it.
Societal problems require the perspective of many to become solvable. With the principle of Co-Creation, spaces for collaborative problem-solving are opened.
The Children's University Braunschweig tackles current research topics. Scientists conduct lectures each winter semester for children aged 8 to 12. The Children's University is accompanied by the podcast series 'Cleverly Asked,' where students engage in dialogue with TU scientists and ask intriguing questions about sustainability.
With the project tu4society, we enable and promote social and ecological involvement on campus and beyond. Within the framework of teaching and studies, ideas can be developed, prototypes tested, and projects implemented, which strengthen the cooperation and transfer skills of students from all faculties.
Once a month, the Knowledge Transfer team hosts a Community Café. In a relaxed café atmosphere, space is provided for exchange. Each time, the community café focuses on a new main theme.
We develop participatory methods and formats integrated into research and teaching.
Actice skill development
We are working on new projects such as "Service Learning" in teaching and collaboration with practice partners for "Social Innovations". These projects are funded as part of "tu4society" and will promote the transfer and cooperation skills of students. Another project called "Non-profit Spin-offs" is being carried out in collaboration with the Technology Transfer division of the Transfer Service.
