The lab comprises of groups with 8-12 pupils, 10th-13th grade (all female groups & female-male groups). The groups have own research-questions and access to tools or 3D-printers; access to areas of special interest (flight simulator, wind tunnel). The aim is to convey appreciation and develop ties to the university, leading to a later study decision for one of the participating universities. Accompanying educational research will show whether this new approach is suited to raise self-concept and motivation especially for girls. In the course of the project, it will be possible to follow the network pupils and check their study decision.
