Summary of the project:
The aim of the project is to develop a digital twin of the battery cell production based on the method, developed in Sim2Pro. To achieve that a goal different simulations setups are going to be developed. Investigated processes are dry and wet mixing, coating, drying, calendaring, stacking and filling. The different simulation setups are coupled to create a setup, that is capable of simulating the whole battery production chain. Mathematical optimization algorithms are used to optimize the cell performance and reduce the production costs by identifying critical tolerances.
