In my research I am concerned with the design and reconfiguration of flexible manufacturing systems. Thereby, I investigate the provision as well as the utilization of different types of flexibility and their role in the design and reconfiguration of different manufacturing system concepts. Additionally, I deal with material supply and material flow planning in flexible manufacturing systems and their integration into design approaches.
