In Professional and Personnel Development, we support TU Braunschweig employees through internal training and development programmes as well as through cooperation with external institutions. Our measures range from workshops and lectures to coaching and mentoring.

Extensive further training and qualification measures in the areas of career and development, communication, organisation & management, academic work.
In addition, doctoral students have the opportunity to participate in individual coaching.
The Postdoc-Programme supports postdocs in their career planning through further training and advisory measures as well as a mentoring programme.
Newly appointed junior, tenure track and professors will find a welcome programme to help them settle in, get to know each other and find their feet at TU Braunschweig. Advice, networking and further training events of the Prof.-Programme support all professors in the long-term development of their academic leadership skills.

The interuniversity further education "Hochschulübergreifende Weiterbildung (HüW)" regularly offers employees of the cooperating universities demand-oriented events for their further qualification. All events are tailored to the specific needs of the universities and complement the existing internal offers and measures.
The courses range from intercultural communication skills, fundraising or controlling to workshops in labour law and third-party funding administration.

The Center of Excellence in Lower Saxon Higher Education (Kompetenzzentrum Hochschuldidaktik für Niedersachsen KHN), which was originally founded under the name Arbeitsstelle für Hochschuldidaktik (AfH), has existed as a university didactics institution at the TU Braunschweig since July 2000. This institution is supported by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture (Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur MWK) and operates throughout the state.
The KHN concentrates mainly on research into higher education didactics as well as practice-oriented further training and counselling services for teaching staff at universities in Lower Saxony. Another important area of responsibility is the promotion of quality development in teaching and learning.
The Centre for Science Management e.V. (Zentrum für Wissenschaftsmanagement ZWM) in Speyer is committed to promoting professional science management. The association supports the strengthening of Germany as a centre of science through innovative training formats, comprehensive consulting services and targeted networking opportunities.
