Personnel Development Concept 2024-2027

Our personnel development concept addresses all full-time, temporary and permanent employees in science, science management and technical & administrative staff.

The concept is designed to run for four years – from 2024 to 2027 – and outlines the framework and cornerstones of personnel development at TU Braunschweig as well as the focus areas for the next four years.


Strategic Focus Areas and Fields of Action

We have identified three key areas of focus for our sphere of activity as central facility “Professional and Personnel Development” (German acronym “ZPE”):  Strategic Personnel Planning, Collaboration and Cohesion and Reshaping the Workplace.  We have structured these focus areas into fields of action, which are addressed using targeted measures. This page gives you an overview of the focus areas and field of actions and provides examples of measures.

The personnel development concept was resolved by the Senate on 10 July 2024 and is available for download. 


Strategic Personnel Planning

Strategic personnel planning is a medium- and long-term instrument that is used to analyse current and future personnel and skills requirements and derive appropriate action plans.  In this context, we also consider the topics of knowledge management, promoting careers and supporting career decisions as well as onboarding and offboarding to be essential and will address these as fields of action with suitable measures.

Icon Zusammenarbeit & Zusammenhalt

TU Braunschweig is a place of learning and working together. In order to fulfil the tasks of the university and achieve the goals of the university development plan, the design of clear processes, constructive cooperation and a sense of belonging among all employees and managers is an essential prerequisite. As ZPE, we would like to contribute to the promotion of collaboration and cohesion at TU Braunschweig with measures in this focus area.


Reshaping the Workplace

With this focus area, we as ZPE take a look at the workplace transformation. We support both employees and TU Braunschweig as an organisation in dealing with these new requirements and in shaping change in a way that promotes health.
