Examination registration period for the summer semester 2024
Examination registration period summer semester 2024: 01.06.2024 - 30.06.2024
Examination period summer semester 2024 (written): 15.07.2024 - 30.09.2024
Examination period summer semester 2024 (oral): 08.07.2024 - 30.09.2024
In principle, all examinations must be registered online. For examinations for which this is not possible, a written registration can be made using the following form:
a registration form (available online and at the examination office)
You must register for your examinations during the registration period. Please note the information provided by e-mail or on the websites.
No examination registrations will be accepted outside the above-mentioned registration period, even upon request!
Please note the following circumstances: As the dates for oral examinations must be arranged independently with the institutes, a fictitious examination date is stored in the online system for the online registration of oral examinations. This date marks the first day of the examination period and thus the day from which oral examinations can take place in the respective semester (in the summer semester 2024: 08.07.2024).
From the winter semester 2024/25, registration for the semester-accompanying seminars will also take place online - via TU-Connect - and will replace the binding registration on the registration lists.
The respective registration times will be communicated to you by the institutes during the introductory or kick-off events.
Please note the topic announcements on the websites of the institutes.
Cancellation of written examinations is possible up to the penultimate day before the examination date.
You can also withdraw from exams via our online portal .
Please inform the Examinations Office if you withdraw from a voluntary repeat examination online so that the original examination result can be displayed for you again. You will not receive a separate confirmation of your cancellation via the online portal.
Otherwise, you must use the deregistration form , which must be signed by hand and received in person, by fax, as an e-mail attachment (from your TU e-mail address, submit the original later) or by letter to the Examinations Office on time.
Timely means:
By fax to the fax number: 0531-391-8220
By post (if sent by post, the date of the postmark counts as proof of compliance with the deadline). It is your responsibility to ensure that a postmark with the date is legible on the letter.
via online deregistration: By 23:59 on the penultimate day before the exam.
In person at the Central Post Office (Universitätsplatz 2)
What do I need to consider when registering and submitting a Master's thesis?
The topic of the Master's thesis can come from the field of economics. The processing time is 6 months. Please note that you must be enrolled while working on your Master's thesis!
You can register for the Master's thesis as soon as you have earned 60 credit points in the Master's degree program in Business Information Systems and these have been submitted to the Examination Office. You can find out whether you have achieved the required 60 credit points at the Examination Office or check for yourself at https://vorlesungen.tu-bs.de.If you submit the application for the Master's thesis without the required preliminary work, the application will not be recognized. Furthermore, the Master's thesis CANNOT be re-registered with the same title
First of all, you need to find a supervisor and agree on a topic for your Master's thesis. Please note: If you would like to write your Master's thesis externally, it is also necessary that you first look for a supervisor at TU Braunschweig! To register your thesis, please use the registration form “Registration of a thesis in the Technology-oriented Management degree program”, which is displayed in front of the Examinations Office and can also be found here. The completed registration form, signed by you and the examiner, is sent by the institute to the Examination Office and the thesis is thus registered. The processing period of six months begins on the date stated on the registration form; the submission deadline is therefore exactly six months after the registration date (example: registration date: 18.02.2024 -> submission date: 18.08.2024).
From now on, final theses (Bachelor's or Master's thesis) are uploaded to TUConnect. Submission by e-mail or on data carriers is no longer necessary. The submission date is the upload date of the submission in the examination office.
Bound copies no longer need to be submitted to the Examinations Office. Examiners can request a printed copy to be handed in within 5 days of the upload date. In this case, the submission will be made to the examiners.
An automatic plagiarism check is carried out.
You can only upload a PDF document (the declaration of independence must be included). To do this, convert your work as a PDF document directly from your word processor or use the print function. Please do not scan!
For data protection reasons, you may remove the personal data “surname”, “first name” and “matriculation number” from the electronic version of your thesis before uploading it.
The maximum file size is 150 MB. If necessary, please reduce the resolution of images/drawings in the file.
If the final thesis is your last examination and you would like to de-register as soon as possible, you should always be sure that you have passed all examinations and coursework, including the final thesis. If your final thesis has not yet been finally graded, but the work has been assessed as passed in any case, the first and second examiners can issue you with a “4.0 certificate” confirming that your final thesis has been passed with at least “sufficient”. We strongly advise against de-registration before it has been ensured that all examinations and coursework have been passed!
