The course "Discharge of Municipal Wastewater" presents a general introduction on various aspects of sewer systems. The class takes place as a block seminar on 4 to 6 dates in the summer term and consists of class meetings and field trips. Participation in the first class meeting and in the field trips is mandatory to complete the class.

Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Hartmann presents practical aspects of operation and management of sewer systems (e.g. sewer system operation, damages in sewers) in field trips and class meetings. Dr.-Ing. Aslan Belli focuses on the basics of sewer system dimensioning and construction (e.g. separate and combined systems, various operating schemes, costs and fees, alternative discharge strategies etc.).
