We are finding ourselves in the midst of the 5th industrial revolution. However, this also means that the spectrum of skills needed for our work as architects is continuously evolving and expanding. Innovative design tools provide possibilities that reach far beyond BIM and parametric design. With Augmented Reality (AR) the virtual and real are merging allowing you to work and collaborate at real life 1:1 scale.
The Triple*AR challenge will give you the opportunity to dive into this new world and master three challenges in the fields of engineering, construction and urban design. What they all have in common is the application of AR. The winning teams will be announced at a student symposium, which will discuss integrated digital workflows in architectural design and construction processes.
This course is offered jointly by the Institute for Structural Design (ITE), Institute of Construction Design, Industrial and Healthcare Building (IKE) and Institute for Sustainable Urbanism (ISU).
