The 3D Panel Method VSAEROTM (Analytical Methods Inc.) calculates irrotational and incompressible subsonic flows based on a solution to the Neumann problem of velocity potential. The code provides different means of compressibility correction to the potential solution (e.g. Prandtl-Glauert). Additionally viscous effects can be taken into account by coupling the potential solution to a boundary layer solution. At the Institute of Aircraft Design and Lightweight Structures VSAEROTM is employed in preliminary aircraft design to compute aerodynamic loads, flight performance and handling qualities.
