Our elementary school programs are suitable for supporting the acquisition of competencies in accordance with the Lower Saxony Core Curriculum for the teaching of science at elementary schools.
In the Green School, for example, students can get to know plants from the Botanical Garden and the Tropical Greenhouses and thus expand their knowledge of species.
In particular, the programs "Journey to the Equator" and "The Blossom - Pure Temptation" promote the recognition and explanation of interdependencies between plants, animals, humans and their habitats. The program "Spices - how the world tastes" also teaches perception through the senses of smell and taste.
The programs "Ahhh! An apple!", "On the trail of the early bloomers" and "The potato - more than chips and fries" offer the opportunity to learn about the ecology of native plant species, their stages of development and forms of growth. Their importance as useful plants is also demonstrated.
In the program "Trees - natural wonders and storytellers", trees are explored throughout the year with their buds, blossoms, leaves and fruits, and their significance for humans and animals is discovered.
