In addition to teaching and research, continuing education is also one of the tasks of universities as defined by the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act. Against this background, the Institute for Construction Management and Construction Operations (IBB) and its staff offer various continuing education events or contribute through seminar contributions in the context of third party continuing education events.
Every year in February, IBB organizes the Braunschweig Baubetriebsseminar (BSBBS), in which current issues of the construction process as well as results from science are presented and discussed between speakers and participants. The target group of the BSBBS are persons with responsibility for results on the part of the clients, the consulting and construction contractors as well as the authorities.

On a smaller scale, IBB offers in-house seminars on construction-related issues with the aim of refreshing the technical basics requested by our customers. These training seminars are usually held on-site at the customer's premises, which include, for example, construction administrations, public clients, and further education institutions for architects and engineers.
Seminar contributions to further education events of third parties are regularly written on special invitation. Sponsors of such further training events include the Bremen-Niedersächsische Baurechtstag, the Vereinigung der Straßenbau- und Verkehrsingenieure (VSVI) or the Forschungsstelle Technologierecht e. V..
