It is essential to have the most important information quickly when studying: When is the exam registration period, when do I have to have my mentoring interview, where can I view exam results or which lecture is cancelled at short notice due to illness.

Particularly in the first semesters of the Bachelor's degree programme in Computer Science, the theoretical basic lectures in mathematics and computer science can cause headaches and sleepless nights. The aim here is, under the guidance of a student assistant, but also with mutual support from other students, to be able to independently explain and understand complicated issues in a different way and thus better understand them - if necessary in feedback with the respective lecturer.

Use of the Stud.IP learning-management-system

Many lecturers already use the Stud.IP learning management system for their courses, e.g. to organise small exercise groups or to provide teaching materials. Seminar registration also takes place via Stud.IP.

The brochure "Don't Panic" from the Gauß-IT-Zentrum der TU Braunschweig (GITZ for short) explains briefly and concisely how you can, for example, access the university's W-LAN (eduroam), retrieve your e-mails from the TU Braunschweig e-mail address, print scripts, register for an exercise via Stud.IP or view your achievements to date in the form of a transcript of records in the QIS portal.

As you not only need your y-number to use the IT services, but also, for example, to register for and participate in courses (e.g. via Stud.IP), please do not forget to activate it promptly!

The sports centre offers you as a student at TU Braunschweig a varied programme of sports courses, which can provide a nice balance to your studies.
