The EIS is now an official project partner of the ZuSE-KI-AVF project. The project has a total volume of several million euros and is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Research topic is the scalable and highly parallel vector processor architecture VPRO, which is developed by the EIS. Furthermore, the optimal mapping of AI applications as well as data processing algorithms for different sensor types from the automotive sector to the vector processor will be investigated. The VPRO system will be realized by a chip at the end of the project. The EIS is collaborating on the project with Leibniz Universität Hannover, TU Kaiserslautern, RWTH Aachen, Robert Bosch GmbH, Cadence Design Systems GmbH, Dream Chip Technologies GmbH and Ibeo Automotive Systems GmbH.
