Recycling process

In the "Recycling processes" projects, the process control as well as the depth of the respective mainly mechanical process strategies are investigated. The projects will take a comparative look at and evaluate the influence of a "reverse production" approach as opposed to the reprocessing of complete battery cells or modules in terms of impurities in the processed material, possible recycling rates and efficiency. The following four projects are addressed in this topic:

• Project 3-1: Recycling-oriented product design for battery cells and their integration in road-based mobile applications - A reverse production approach.
• Project 3-2: Removal techniques for the conception of a "reverse production".
• Project 3-3: Modelling and evaluation of "reverse production" processes for ecological and economical battery disassembly.
• Project 3-4: Design of mechanical treatment processes for battery material recirculation.
