Specialized information Service BAUdigital

The Specialized information Service BAUdigital was set up as a central point of contact and tailored service offering for the specialist areas of civil engineering, architecture and urban studies (urban planning). The aim was to set up and establish a web service platform on which media and related information is made available focused on digital methods and technologies in the related topics. The University Library of Braunschweig (UBBS) is one of four project sites.
The German Research Foundation had funded the project from 2020 to 2024. 

Project aims were:

• Promotion of communication with and within the community
• User group specific research tools and information supply to e-resources (scientific literature, research data, digital born data)

• Semantic-web-enabled subject thesaurus

• Retro-digitization services for 2D and 3D objects

• Services for research data management and curation

• Services for digital long-term archiving

• Setup of a Research and infrastructure map

• Enhanced Publicationservices on Open Access Publications
