Aims of the Degree Program

The focus of the Bachelor's degree program is to impart in-depth and scientifically oriented specialist and methodological skills in the field of economics and in a technical environment.

Graduates have knowledge, skills and abilities at the interface of economics and technology by combining economic and technical knowledge in future-oriented focus areas as well as an integrative view of future challenges of technology-driven companies.

Furthermore, they acquire the ability to critically reflect on today's economy, especially with regard to the increasing digitization efforts (e.g. in the form of digital business models) and sustainability, and can thus also question the effects of their actions in their future profession.

Studying abroad

You can obtain information about the opportunities for a stay abroad in person from the International House (IH) and on its website. The partner universities for economics and some for engineering are at your disposal.

The International Coordinator (international-fk1(at)tu-braunschweig.de) will help you with questions regarding the timing of your stay abroad and the recognition of credits earned abroad.

In the Bachelor's program, we recommend the semester abroad in the 5th or 6th semester. These two semesters consist mainly of compulsory elective courses, so that equivalent achievements can be found or recognized more easily.

Information on possible partner universities can be found on the International House website. Plan your semester abroad well in advance, as the application deadlines are approx. 5 (Erasmus, Europe) or 9 (rest of the world) months before the start of the semester abroad.

Information on the procedure for preparing an exchange plan for the binding recognition of credits can be obtained from your international coordinator.
