Applicants are given the opportunity to participate in the research of the cluster within the framework of a student position and thus gain valuable insights into the everyday research life of a German university and into the work of a Cluster of Excellence. Within the scope of this activity, they will be able to develop a topic for their graduation thesis and gain first practical experience, which will qualify them for a possible doctorate in the research field.
The student job is a several-month employment as a student assistant for a total of 120 hours (hourly wage 13,25 Euro for BA students, 13,83 Euro for MA students), which can be divided over 3-6 months according to the requirements of the student and the insitute. Participants also have the opportunity to participate in the SE²A coaching and mentoring programmes offered by the Office for Equal Opportunities. These are group coaching programmes aimed at exploring their own career prospects and laying the foundations for achieving their career aspirations.
The programme aims to increase the number of female graduates qualified for doctoral studies and is part of the SE²A Equal Opportunities Programme.
