The SE²A International Fellowship enables participants to spend six to twelve months conducting research in Lower Saxony, Germany, where they can choose their own research topics in the field of sustainable and energy-efficient aviation and work closely with the cluster's scientists. Requirements for the SE²A Fellowships include a completed doctorate, above-average academic performance and an independent publication history.
The SE²A Cluster of Excellence offers financial support for innovative ideas from young scientists in order to promote their careers. We are looking for research projects on topics such as hydrogen in aviation, heat management and technology assessment.
Establishing equal opportunities and gender equality is a top priority for TU Braunschweig and SE²A. Programmes are available at different qualification levels.
The International SE²A Award is a award of up to 60,000 euros for a research stay in Germany, usually lasting one year. Established researchers from SE²A partner institutions can nominate candidates. The nominee’s academic achievements in the field of sustainable aviation or for sustainable aviation relevant fundamental research must be internationally recognised and proven by corresponding successes in research. In addition, they must have lived and worked predominantly outside Germany in the last five years.
