The approximately 30 students of the research club had the opportunity to learn how to work with CAD and how to convert their created models into printable versions.
With support of Johannes Wolff and Hendrik Traub (IAF), as well as Siby Jose (IAM), it was possible to try out, design and convert the models in four sessions. The models, some of which were created in the students' free time, could later be printed and picked up at IAF.
The results are impressive: Besides an X-Wing airplane and a movable Batman model, practical items such as a pen holder or a fully functional recorder were printed. The logo of the Research Club was also produced as a 3D print from the workshop.
Due to the Corona pandemic, Dina Al-Kharabsheh's team redesigned the series of events so that the workshops could be held digitally at first and then on site, in compliance with distance and hygiene regulations.
