This year, the opening of the DLRK started with the SE²A Image Film! With almost 1000 participants, the German Aerospace Congress (DLRK) is Germany's largest aerospace congress, hosted this year by the University of Hamburg. It took place from 30 September to 2 October 2024.
SE²A was there with many presentations on the results coming out of our numerous cluster projects, and also offered a great space for networking at our stand together with the Aeronautics Research Centre Niedersachsen (NFF) and Braunschweig Research Airport.
Our DISPROP exhibition model, which is based on the cluster's fundamental research and has been further developed in EU projects into a wind tunnel demonstrator with a height of nearly 3 meters, caught the attention of experts and sparked some in-depth conversations. The same goes for an aircraft model for meteorological measurements by the Institute of Flight Guidance from TU Braunschweig.
Now that many technical solutions for short- and medium-haul flights are almost ready for take-off, there is still some fundamental research to be done, especially when it comes to sustainability on long-haul flights!
Thank you for the interesting discussions and new contacts made at our SE²A-NFL-Braunschweig Research Airport stand. See you at DLRK in Augsburg next year!
