An international selection of speakers including from MIT, Delft University of Technology, RWTH Aachen and further cooperation partners once again strengthened the knowledge transfer and networking of the Cluster of Excellence SE²A on 27th and 28th of October. Up to 130 participants took the opportunity to look from different perspectives and discuss technological developments in the two key sessions: "Aircraft Design", chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Horst and "Technological Requirements/ Technology Assessment", chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Seume.
On the second day of the symposium, the exchange was intensified in the closed workshop "Accelerating the path towards carbon-free aviation". Scientists from SE²A discussed current issues with representatives from international partner institutions e.g. TU Delft, Cranfield University and ONERA (Office national d'études et de recherches aérospatiales; the French equivalent of the German Aerospace Center).
This intensive brainstorming was rounded off by the scientific advisory board meeting with top-class representatives from industry, science and politics. To participate, some international members were even willing to get up very early in the morning due to the time shift with a meeting start at their local time of 6 am.
Altogether, we are pleased about the lively interest of the 130 participants in the symposium, the large group of active workshop participants and the important exchange with the scientific advisory board members – and having this without any technical incidents.
In this sense, we hope to welcome you again personally in Braunschweig next year!
