How to produce tailor-made drugs at low costs

Will it be possible to produce drugs more cost-effective in the future? Will there be safe drugs that are customized to patients‘ specific needs?

To realize this vision scientists from various disciplines investigate new technologies, processes and approaches in the area of pharmaceutical engineering. Experts from pharmacy, process engineering and microtechnology have decided to bundle their collaborative research on a long-term basis according to a model that is unique in Germany. Based on this model, approx. 100 scientists from ten different institutes of TU Braunschweig and Leibniz University Hannover are working closely together in the Center of Pharmaceutical Engineering, which has been built up in 2017.
