Funded by the German Research Foundation [DFG] from 01.02.2017-30.06.2020
The scientific network “Body Dysmorphic Disorder” (“BDD-Net”) consists of seven German researchers. The BDD-Net networks with renowned experts in Germany and Europe as special guests. Since BDD-work is quite underrepresented in research and practice in Germany, the network’s goal is to strengthen national and international cooperation and partnerships to realise future major projects in the future. Moreover, the BDD-Net standardise and enhances health structures, and provides information about BDD to practitioners, the general population and individuals concerned. Its aim is to prevent stigmatisation, and to deepen treatment barriers.
