Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS) brings together Lower Saxony's quantum expertise in science, industry and politics. Together, this network stands for research and transfer of quantum technologies in a global endeavour. Funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and the Volkswagen Foundation, the non-profit organisation QVLS e.V. shapes the impact of quantum technologies in industry and society.
Whether a public event, conference or supra-regional cooperation: QVLS invests in long-term partnerships and a vibrant quantum community.
In addition to the transfer of scientific expertise to start-ups and established companies, QVLS is involved in the education and training of the future quantum workforce.
With the Metrology Initiative Braunschweig, the TU Braunschweig and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt are further expanding their long-standing collaboration in the field of metrology. QUCATS centralises the coordination of research, education and international cooperation in the field of quantum science and technology in the European Quantum Flagship network. Qucats has two main tasks. On the one hand, it aims to pass on the European Commission's impetus to the countries and, on the other hand, to reflect developments from the countries back to the Commission.
The EU project "Quantum Technologies Courses for Industry" (QTIndu) aims to create a Europe-wide training programme for quantum technologies and thus create a central point of contact for various industries and fields of activity. The thirteen European partners in QTIndu are organised into two groups. The first group, including the TU Braunschweig and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, is focussing on the needs-based development of further education formats. The second group, which also includes the alliance Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS), ensures the connection to industry.
