An exciting new chapter has begun at our university. On November 11, 2024, the Media Lab was officially inaugurated with a festive ceremony.
Invited guests listened to the welcome address by the Vice President for Studies and Teaching, Prof. Dr. Knut Baumann, as well as other inspiring contributions on the creation and significance of the space. Then came the highlight: the red ribbon was ceremoniously cut, marking the official opening of the Media Lab. Following this, guests had the opportunity to network and explore the space. At various stations, they could gain insights into current and future exciting ideas and projects while also meeting the dedicated team behind them.
In the following Open Days, the doors were opened to all interested visitors eager to experience the new workspace and experimental lab.
The first Open Day focused on the history of the lab’s development. Visitors had the chance to learn more about the team and their work and to exchange ideas about the creative processes and visions that led to the realization of the space.
The second day was dedicated to the world of Artificial Intelligence. Participants could explore the potential of AI and see how it is practically applied at TU Braunschweig, including through the AI Toolbox.
The third Open Day was held in collaboration with the Gauß IT Center, which showcased various media technologies available for university members to borrow.
Visitors were able to get hands-on experience with the available equipment and technologies, enabling them to bring their own projects to life and turn innovative ideas into reality.
