Hydraulic testing benefits enormously from precisely manufactured test specimens in which real geometries can be scaled down to the scales of the various test facilities.
Several 3D printers are available at the Leichtweiß Institute for this purpose, which can produce the respective geometries using the conventional FDM process or the synthetic resin process. The properties of the 3D prints can be changed and adapted to the respective task by using different materials and print settings.
