Bio

Paolo Olivucci got his MEng in Naval Architecture from the University of Genoa in Italy. He then earned his doctorate in Fluid Mechanics at the University of Sheffield, UK, working on turbulent skin-friction control. He has since moved to TU Braunschweig to work on data-driven methods for flow modelling and control with Dr. R. Semaan. His research interests include skin-friction reduction in wall-bounded flows, reduced-order modeling of fluid flows, probabilistic modeling and Bayesian optimization, and flow control.
