Summary of the overall project
The project InteKal is a project within the BMBF-funded competence cluster InZePro. The focus of this project is the further development of the calendering process to a fully continuous and self-controlled process step of the process chain of manufacturing battery electrodes. To achieve the project goal, the calender plant is extended with in-line measurement technology. Further, a digital twin of the electrode as well as the calender plant is developed to simulate the calendering process. The result of this project is an increased efficiency of the calendering step and a decreased amount of production waste.
